Sungkyunkwan University’s Dream Challenge K-Startup Demo Day Spurs Global Recognition

A total of seven startups, nurtured by Sungkyunkwan University Support Foundation, with an impressive mark in Silicon Valley. This remarkable achievement comes once they participated in Dream Challenge K-startup Demo Day event, which happened on November 14th and was organized by Dreamkium, a Silicon Valley-based entity.

The event served as a Launchpad for global investment for Korean startups. There were 150 attendees, with a diverse array of industry experts, investors, and venture capital firms from Silicon Valley. The event provided a platform for startups affiliated with Sungkyunkwan University Startup Support Foundation to present their innovative business concepts. Beyond this, it served them to engage in one-on-one meetings with investors and prospective partners, setting the stage for investment and business growth in US.

The startups that were at the forefront are:

  1. VoiceMatch: Specialized in AI-based voice modules.
  2. CRHM: Manufacturers of RF components and modules in ultra-high-frequency bands (above 10GHz) using ceramic layering technology.
  3. MiMetics: Focused on enhancing skin penetration rates through natural mimicry technology using octopus suction plates.
  4. Codime: Offering a solution for generating fashion clothing model cuts using Generative AI.
  5. Lifoli: A mobile gifting platform tailored for high-end gift transactions.
  6. JK Technology: Developers of a one-way smart VLC-LED lighting system for indoor positioning, based on AI and mobile applications.
  7. Insensory: Operating as a company offering integrated monitoring equipment and pest control services for smart infectious disease vectors.

The SUSSF actively collaborated with relevant institutions in Gyeonggi-do province and the Seoul area through the Entrepreneurship-Centered University Program. The programs have been instrumental in facilitating investment, market expansion, and global outreach for startup companies, marking his place as a regional hub for entrepreneurship.
